Baby Float from 3 Month

Which float to choose for 3-month-old babies?

Unlike swim armbands or swim vests, an inflatable baby float is the type of equipment suited for 3-month-old babies for learning to swim safely as well as for aquatic and physical development. They come in three specific designs. These include neck floats, baby swimmer floats, and floating seats. The same applies to 4-month-old baby floats.

Before 3 months, there are also floats for 1-month-old babies, but these are an exception. It is recommended to start aquatic activities from 3 months onward.

The neck float wraps around the baby's neck so that the rest of their body can move freely in the water. Baby swimmer floats are worn around the waist to support the upper body and allow swimming in a lying position. The floating seat is also worn around the waist but mainly helps with floating in an upright position.

The benefits of an inflatable float for babies 3 months and older

Babies can be introduced to the aquatic environment from the age of 3 months. The unique sensation of water on their bodies is beneficial for awakening their young minds. Swimming also exercises the baby's limbs, promoting the development of their motor skills. Learning to swim and having their first bathing experiences are therefore essential for the little one.

Aquatic activities with 3-month-old babies are particularly easier to practice with a baby float. The buoyancy of the float replaces the need for an adult's arms to hold the child while bathing. This way, you can have your hands free while your baby swims, staying close to help as needed.

The different models of floats for 3-month-old babies

There are several types of floats you can use with 3-month-old babies. These include neck floats, baby swimmer floats, and floating seats. The common feature of all these models is their comfortable and safe design for aquatic development. This way, your little swimmer can have a lot of fun with their pool float. You can also check out our collection of floats for 6-month-old babies

It is important to note that they do not replace adult supervision for safety during  aquatic sessions or actual swimming lessons.

Neck floats

A 3-month-old baby needs a neck float with gentle pressure on their neck. The chosen float should also be durable enough to support the baby's neck without puncturing. The following float models offer these advantages through their designs:

  • Baby neck float
  • Baby neck float donuts
  • 3D baby neck float
  • TPU baby neck float
  • Floating baby neck float

This type of float helps the little one get familiar with water. Neck and floating models have good buoyancy due to the pressurized air inside. Their PVC covering is also waterproof and resistant to punctures thanks to a multilayer design. The other three models have TPU covers filled with foam beads, eliminating any risk of puncture and increasing comfort for the baby's neck.

Baby swimmer floats and floating seats

Baby swimmer floats and floating seats are safer than neck floats for a 3-month-old child. They also compensate for limited movements with additional features, as seen in the following models:

  • Floating baby float with umbrella
  • Floating seat with harness
  • Frog baby float
  • Learning baby float
  • Beginner swimmer baby float
  • Swimtrainer baby float
  • Bear baby float
  • Baby float with canopy
  • Lying baby float

All these models are equipped with harnesses to keep the child on the float while swimming. The material used for their covering is waterproof and will not tear under the child's weight. Models with a sunshade or canopy also allow the child to be protected from exposure to ultraviolet rays.

Our baby floats are comfortable. They are designed for children from 3 months old and are durable and stable throughout this age range. The buoyancy is well-studied and perfectly suited for the aquatic activities of the youngest.

Put on their swimsuit, inflate their float, let your baby swimmer ride it and hold onto its handles, then watch your little one splash around confidently in the open air, in the sun. Stay by their side, like a real lifeguard, to watch and encourage them!
